Ultimate Urban Sundays at LOT 401 Lot 401 has launched Ultimate Urban Sundays with the beginning of their "Breakfast Club". It’s kind of a Superbrunch. From 11am to 3pm on Sundays, Downcity dwellers or anyone else can park themselves at Lot 401 for a meal, a movie and a complimentary Sunday paper. The brunch, which includes the de rigueur omelettes and eggs benedict, will also reflect Chef Rachel Klein’s deft hand. Movies will be played on the wall with Lot 401’s projection system and upstairs folks can chill out in the lounge, reading, eating and listening to the DJ spin down tempo music. The bar will be open all day, and anyone who can’t pull himself away can stay for dinner and even later for Latin Night in the upstairs lounge.
The Second Annual Providence Improv Fest is Coming! From its humble beginnings last year as a three-group local showcase, the Fest has grown into a four-day improv extravaganza featuring some of the finest performers in the country. From Lightning-fast Short-Form, to mind-blowing Long-Form, to theme-based storytelling, to musical improv, even a horror show inspired by Providence’s own H.P. Lovecraft, this year’s Fest covers the range that today’s improv scene has to offer. It’s all happening in Downcity Providence, with shows at Perishable Theatre and the Rhode Island Theatre Ensemble (RITE), and Guerilla Improv all over town. Come to Providence, eat a meal at one of our sponsor restaurants, and give yourself over to improv’s best and brightest. Between shows, take one of our free public workshops, taught by some of Rhode Island’s most accomplished improvisers. The fun begins Thursday, June 9th and doesn’t stop until the night of Sunday the12th. Don’t miss it! Visit
